ætherspace is a computational garment that uses transducers of electro-magnetic waves to turn “Hertzian space” into sonic waves, giving the wearer a better understanding of the electronically-embodied world. What is the sound of the imperceptible becoming perceptible?

ætherspace has been discussed in the following places:

  1. Eleni Ikoniadou, The Rhythmic Event: Art, Media, and the Sonic (Cambridge and London: MIT Press, 2014).
  2. Jessie Scanlon, “Tinker, Tailor: A student fashion show revives an old question: Does wearable technology have legs?,” I.D. (International Design Magazine) 52, no. 6 (September–October 2005): 48–52.
  3. Regine Debatty, “ætherspace,” May 27, 2005, accessed May 18, 2012.
