The logo needed to convey the purpose of the software; that is, software used to perform region-of-interest (ROI) analyses on functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) data. Hence the "f" is in an italicized serifed font, and the "o" in "ROI" is the outline of a brain, with the negative space as the ROI. |
